Staying at HHH
Patients and caregivers who stay in the residence with us find private rooms and bathrooms, phones with voicemail, internet access, and laundry facilities. Guests also enjoy three meals a day in our communal kitchen and dining room, often enjoying a dinner provided by a volunteer or working together to prepare a special treat for everyone. After dinner or throughout the day, guests enjoy spending time in the living room, watching television or movies, reading, playing computer games or just talking. Guests also love to sit in the courtyard, relaxing in a quiet garden to release the stress of the hospital. If considering staying at HHH, please review our guest policies.

Staying at HHH Offsite Location
Patients and caregivers who are assigned lodging at our HHH Offsite Location will enjoy hotel suite-style accommodations including one queen bed, private bath, television, wireless internet, workspace with dataport, phone/private voice mail (long distance not included) and kitchenettes. A coin laundry facility is located at this site, but guests may use the free laundry facilities at the main HHH Office during office hours. These offsite rooms comfortably accommodate two adults. Guests of our offsite location are invited to join the guests at our main location for meals. If considering staying at the HHH offsite location, please review our HHH Offsite Location guest policies.

Hospital Hospitality House is handicap accessible.

Day Services

Private showers
Laundry facilities

Meals

For those caregivers who prefer to remain at the hospital or for the caregivers we unfortunately turn away each day due to lack of space, we offer day services. Guests can come throughout the week to shower, do laundry, rest in our lounge, and have a bite to eat. This brief respite from the hospital rejuvenates caregivers while meeting their most basic needs. If considering our day services, please review our guest policies.

Waiting Room Outreach
In partnership with Friends of HHH, we adopt waiting rooms at local hospitals, providing baskets stocked with toiletries, snacks, games, magazines and other items waiting friends and families may need.

Community Education Workshops
Workshops, free and open to the public, are offered bimonthly on topics such as Navigating the Medical Maze, Health Insurance 101, and Self Care for the Caregiver.

Referral Sources
Medical social workers, patient affair representatives and nurse case managers from our area hospitals have the criteria necessary for a HHH guest referral for both lodging and day services.

If you are a patient or a family member of a patient, please see the social worker, patient affair representative or nurse case manager who works with your physician for more information about the referral process.

If you are a social worker, patient affair representative or nurse case manager, please call 615-329-0477 between Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm and ask for the latest information about referral to HHH. To download the Referral Program Overview, please click here (pdf)
